BENEFIT DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION | Friday, March 24, 2023 | 5:30 PM Get Your Tickets Here!Childcare with pizza: $20.00 per child
Sonshine Christian School and Early Learning Center is a unique private school that strives to give children space to explore their diverse natural abilities and gifts in a safe, loving, and individualized setting. Sonshine provides Christian schooling and services for children who have gotten lost in our public school system; such as children with autism, learning disabilities, or children who need greater educational challenges. Providing affordable, high quality Christian childcare, preschool, and elementary school is high priority for us.
Two years ago, during a worldwide pandemic, Sonshine Christian Elementary School and Daycare were asked to leave the location where the daycare had been for over thirty years, and the school for almost ten years. Living Hope Church leaders opened their arms and facility for us and invited us to come and be a part of their ministry. The school moved over to Living Hope during the summer of 2021 and opened its doors in September of 2021 (in the midst of a remodel). The school was able to donate $300,000 to the church to help with the remodel, and held $20,000 in reserve for playground equipment.
Sonshine Christian Daycare and Preschool (now known as Sonshine Christian Early Learning Center) is still at our old location and has been given permission to stay at that location until June of 2023. We are working hard to prepare a new and beautiful facility for the early learning center to move into by that time. Sonshine just recently received a grant from the Washington Department of Commerce for $1,000,000 for this project! This money will go a long way in helping us complete the project; however, the total expenses are $1,699,000. So, as you can see, we still need a lot of help!
Each year, Sonshine hosts a Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction. This year’s auction will help raise funds to remodel a portion of Living Hope’s building for classrooms, a commercial kitchen, bathrooms, and indoor/outdoor play areas. This year’s theme is “Under the Stars in Italy” and will be held at Living Hope Church on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 5:30 PM.
We are reaching out to individuals and community-oriented organizations such as yours to ask you to consider partnering with us in this cause. Not only would we love for you to attend the event with family, friends and/or co-workers, but we would also very much appreciate any products, gift certificates, services, and/or tickets you could provide for our silent or live auction. We also are happy to receive financial donations toward this project. In appreciation for your generosity, we will list your business on our website (sonshinevancouver.org), at the auction, and in our printed program. Sonshine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donation is tax-deductible: our tax ID# is 86-1654514.
We at Sonshine believe our students will be world changers someday. We care deeply for these children and firmly regard the work we do as important to help foster their personal integrity, professional accomplishment and godly compassion for humanity. Your contribution will help us provide safe, high quality classrooms and play areas for our students.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to learn about Sonshine and for considering supporting the work we do here.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Warner
