Face to Face School During Corona Virus

Sonshine Christian Elementary School opened with face to face learning at the beginning of September. Things may look a little different but what hasn’t changed is the high quality, individualized education that each of our students is receiving and the happy sounds of students playing together!

Sonshine students and staff have adapted during this word wide pandemic by adding new safety and cleaning protocols; including, eating lunch outside, wearing masks, separating desks, cleaning, providing an on line learning option for when students need to stay home, creating a new drop off and pick up procedure, and much more!

Although we haven’t been able to go on field trips, have chapel together in person, or allow parents to volunteer at the school, we have adapted by modifying events whenever possible. All of the classes participated in a Harvest Party and Christmas Celebrations, and students were also able to engage in an all school Project Based Learning unit.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Sonshine during this difficult time. We are so proud of our resilient Sonshine family. Keep up the great work everyone!
