Tina Castedo

Tina is our Preschool Lead Teacher, she has been with Sonshine for nine years working in our preschool room. Tina’s deep-seated love for children was ignited during her high school years when she immersed herself in child development classes and actively participated in her school’s childcare program. Her experience serving children aged 6 weeks to 5 years provided the foundation for her future career. Throughout her time at Sonshine, Tina’s favorite part of her job has been witnessing children’s growth and the joy on their faces when they master new skills. 

Tina excels at building lasting relationships with the children in her care and understands that it is so very important for children to feel safe in order to be ready to learn and accept new information. This knowledge of children creates an environment that fosters exploration and community. She is committed to continuous improvements, always seeking ways to enhance her skills and knowledge in early learning. 

In her free time Tina enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids. They often spend their weekends together barbecuing, cutting wood to build fires, and bringing their TV outside to play golf on their Nintendo Switch.
